BIOGRAPHY

Eva Villegas is laureate of a Solo Diploma obtained with distinction at the Haute École de Musique (HEM) of Geneva in the class of Thomas Friedli. Her musical career led her meet and receive tuitions from French clarinetists such as Michel Arrignon, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Michel Lethiec and Jean-Louis Bergerard.

 

A passionate teacher, she completed her training in Finland at the Sibelius Academy and obtained a master's degree in musical pedagogy with distinction. She also studied with Finnish clarinetists Harri Mäki and Karri Kriikku.

 

Eva Villegas is invited every year to play with the Orchestre de l'Opéra-Théâtre de Saint Etienne. She has often performed with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande(OSR), the Tapiola Sinfonietta Orchestrain Finland, and the Opera de Toulon.

 

Eva Villegas teaches at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée, and at the Conservatoire de Musique de Salon de Provence.

DUO CLARINETT & ORGUE

CLARINET AND ORGAN DUET

The clarinettist Eva Villegas and the organist Brice Montagnoux form a duet of a rare complicity. Traveling through the great pages of the French and German repertoire, romantic and modern, they are the virtuoso and demanding performers of eclectic and singular programs including original works and transcriptions.

 

Eva Villegas and Brice Montagnoux sound the most beautiful churches and cathedrals of France.

Since 2016, the duo has counted dozens of concerts to its credit and registered in its programs Saint-Saens, Widor, Debussy, Hakim, Guillou, Pierne, Schumann, Helmschrott.

 

They recorded their first album in May 2019 in Grimaud for the label Organroxx.
